Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that when I write to my loved ones, I will not have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice. I claim this promise and ask that you give me the words to write that will bring joy and encouragement to those who read them. I have confidence in you that my joy will be shared by all who receive my message. May your love and peace be evident in every word I write. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: And I wrote this very thing to you, so that when I came, I wouldn’t have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all that my joy would be shared by all of you.
