Praying from 1 Peter 4:18 relating to Salvation, Righteousness, Sin
Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that if it is hard for the righteous to be saved, then surely you will not let the ungodly and the sinner perish. I pray that you would have mercy on those who have not yet come to know you, and that you would draw them to yourself. Help them to see the truth of your love and the sacrifice you made for them on the cross. I pray that they would turn from their wicked ways and put their trust in you, so that they too may be saved. Thank you for your promise of salvation, and for your never-ending love and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: “If it is hard for the righteous to be saved, what will happen to the ungodly and the sinner?”
1 Peter 4:18
This is a Promise. The verse is a warning that if it is difficult for the righteous to be saved, then it will be even more difficult for the ungodly and sinners to be saved.
