Praying from 1 Peter 4:14 relating to Persecution, Blessing, Glory

Dear Heavenly Father,

I pray that if I am ever insulted for the sake of Christ, that I may remember this promise and find comfort in it. May I be blessed by the Spirit of glory and of God resting upon me, and may I be strengthened by Your presence in those moments.

Even if others blaspheme Your name, may I continue to glorify You and stand firm in my faith. Help me to remember that any suffering I endure for Your sake is temporary, but the reward of eternal life with You is everlasting.

Thank You for the promise that I am blessed when I am insulted for Your name’s sake. May I always be willing to stand up for You and Your truth, no matter the cost.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified.
1 Peter 4:14

This is a Promise. The verse promises that if someone is insulted for the name of Christ, they are blessed because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on them, and even though others may blaspheme God, the insulted person is glorified.
