Praying from 1 Peter 2:11 relating to Pilgrimage, Temptation, Redemption.

Dear Lord, my beloved, I come before you as a foreigner and a pilgrim in this world. I pray that you would help me to abstain from fleshly lusts that wage war against my soul. Give me the strength and the wisdom to resist temptation and to walk in your ways. Help me to keep my eyes fixed on you and to seek your will in all things. May your Holy Spirit guide me and empower me to live a life that is pleasing to you. I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior. Amen.
