Praying from 1 John 4:18 relating to Love, Fear, Punishment

Dear God, I pray that you fill my heart with perfect love that casts out all fear. Help me to trust in your love and not be afraid of anything that comes my way. I know that fear only brings punishment and hinders my growth in love. Please help me to be made perfect in your love and to live a life free from fear. Amen.

Verse: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
1 John 4:18

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not fear and to strive for perfect love, as fear is a sign of imperfection in love.
