Praying from 1 Corinthians 7:22. Themes: Freedom, Servanthood, Identity in Christ.

Dear Lord, I come before you as your humble servant, recognizing that I am called to be a bondservant in your kingdom. I surrender my will to yours and submit to your authority over my life. I trust that as I serve you, you will make me free in ways I cannot even imagine.

I claim the promise that as I serve you, I am your free man. I thank you for the freedom that comes from being in your will and for the joy that comes from serving you. I also claim the promise that as a free man in you, I am no longer a slave to sin and death.

Lord, I pray that you would help me to live out this truth in my daily life. May I serve you with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength, and may I find true freedom in you. Thank you for calling me to be your bondservant and for making me your free man. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: For he who was called in the Lord being a bondservant is the Lord’s free man. Likewise he who was called being free is Christ’s bondservant.
