Dear Lord,
I thank you for the promise that each of us will rise in our own order. I claim the promise that Christ is the first fruits, and then those who belong to Him will rise at His coming.
I pray that I may be counted among those who belong to Christ, and that I may be found faithful when He returns. Help me to live my life in a way that honors You and brings glory to Your name.
May I always remember that my hope is in Christ, and that He has promised to raise me up on the last day. I trust in Your faithfulness and Your power to fulfill this promise.
Thank you for the hope that we have in Christ, and for the assurance that we will one day be with Him forever. In Jesus’ name, I pray.

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that Christ will be the first to rise from the dead, followed by those who belong to him when he returns.
