Dear Lord, as we gather together as a community of believers, we pray that our words and actions may not be a stumbling block to those who are unlearned or unbelieving. Help us to speak with clarity and love, so that all who come into our midst may see the truth of your gospel. May our gatherings be a place of peace and understanding, where all are welcome to come and learn about your love. We ask this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: If therefore the whole assembly is assembled together and all speak with other languages, and unlearned or unbelieving people come in, won’t they say that you are crazy?
1 Corinthians 14:23
This is a Command. The verse is commanding the reader to not speak in tongues when unlearned or unbelieving people are present in the assembly.
