Praying from 1 Corinthians 14:16. Themes: Worship, Understanding, Communication.

Dear Lord, as we come before you to bless with the spirit, we pray that you would help us to consider those who may be unlearned among us. We ask that you would give us the wisdom and discernment to speak in a way that they can understand and participate in our giving of thanks. May our words be clear and our hearts be filled with gratitude as we lift up our voices to you. We pray that all who hear us would be blessed and encouraged, and that they would be able to say “Amen” with understanding and joy. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Verse: Otherwise, if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the “Amen” at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn’t know what you say?
1 Corinthians 14:16

This is a Command. The verse is instructing the reader to speak in a way that can be understood by those who may not have the same level of knowledge or understanding.
