Dear Lord, I come before you seeking guidance on how to pray and worship you. I pray that you help me to pray with both my spirit and my understanding, so that my prayers may be pleasing to you. I also ask that you help me to sing with both my spirit and my understanding, so that my worship may be sincere and heartfelt. May my prayers and worship be a reflection of my love and devotion to you. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: What should I do? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.
1 Corinthians 14:15

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to pray and sing with both the spirit and understanding.
