Prayer based on John 12:8. Themes: Poverty, Sacrifice, Presence.
Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that you will always be with me. I claim the truth that even though the poor may always be present, you are the one who truly satisfies and sustains me. Help me to remember that you are the source of my strength and comfort, and that I can always turn to you in times of need. Thank you for your constant presence in my life. Amen.
Verse: For you always have the poor with you, but you don’t always have me.”
John 12:8
This is a Promise. The verse is a statement made by Jesus to his disciples that he will not always be physically present with them, but the poor will always be present.
