Dear Lord Jesus, I come before you today and claim the promise that you are the light of the world. I pray that you will guide me and lead me in the path of righteousness. Help me to follow you and not walk in darkness, but to have the light of life. I trust in your promise that those who follow you will have the light of life. May your light shine upon me and illuminate my path. Thank you for being my guide and my Savior. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: Again, therefore, Jesus spoke to them, saying,“I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”
John 8:12

This is a Promise. The promise is that those who follow Jesus will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.
