Dear Lord Jesus, as we gather around the table to partake in this meal, we remember the moment when you took bread, blessed it, broke it, and gave it to your disciples, saying, “Take, eat. This is my body.” We thank you for the sacrifice you made for us on the cross, and for the gift of your body and blood that we receive through the Eucharist. May this bread nourish our bodies and souls, and may we always remember your love and grace. Amen.
