Father God, I claim the promise that you have given us in your word that even though Jesus was delivered up to the Gentiles, mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on, he overcame it all and rose again. I pray that you would help me to remember this promise when I face trials and persecution in my own life. Help me to trust in your faithfulness and to know that you will never leave me nor forsake me. Thank you for the victory that we have in Jesus Christ. Amen.
