Prayer based on Luke 9:59. Themes: Obedience, Priorities, Family
Dear Lord,
You have called me to follow you, but sometimes I find myself hesitant to fully commit. Like the man in the verse, I may have other obligations or distractions that seem more pressing.
But I pray that you would give me the courage and faith to put you first in my life. Help me to trust that you will provide for me and my loved ones, even when it feels like I need to attend to other matters first.
May I always remember that you are the ultimate priority in my life, and that following you is the most important decision I can make. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for calling me to be your disciple.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Verse: He said to another,“Follow me!” But he said, “Lord, allow me first to go and bury my father.”
