Prayer based on Luke 6:49. Themes: Obedience, Foundation, Consequences

Dear Lord, please help me to not only hear your word but to also put it into action. May I build my life on a strong foundation of faith in you, so that when the storms of life come, I will not be shaken. Help me to be obedient to your commands and to live a life that brings glory to your name. Protect me from the destruction that comes from ignoring your teachings and guide me towards a life of righteousness. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: But he who hears and doesn’t do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
Luke 6:49

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to not only hear but also do what they have heard, or else they will suffer great ruin.
