Prayer based on Matthew 27:25. Themes: Sacrifice, Responsibility, Consequences.
Dear Lord,
We come before you today claiming the promise that you have given us. We know that your word is true and that you have promised to forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
We also know that you have promised to bless us and our children, and to pour out your grace and mercy upon us. We claim this promise today, and we ask that you would cover us and our children with your precious blood.
May your blood be on us and on our children, Lord. May it cleanse us from all sin and make us pure and holy in your sight. May it protect us from all harm and danger, and may it give us strength and courage to face whatever challenges come our way.
We thank you for your love and your grace, and we ask that you would continue to pour out your blessings upon us and our children. May we always walk in your ways and follow your commands, and may we never forget the sacrifice that you made for us on the cross.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
Verse: All the people answered, “May his blood be on us and on our children!”
