Dear Lord, as we come before you today, we ask for your forgiveness for the times we have been sleeping and resting instead of being alert and watchful. Help us to be aware of the hour at hand and to be ready for your coming. We pray that we may not be betrayed into the hands of sinners, but rather be protected by your loving arms. May we always be faithful to you and follow your will. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: Then he came to his disciples and said to them,“Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.

This is a Command. The disciples are being commanded to wake up and be alert because the hour is at hand and the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of sinners.
