Praying from Matthew 18:7. Themes: Sin, Responsibility, Consequences.
Dear Lord, we pray for the world that is filled with occasions of stumbling. We know that these occasions are inevitable, but we ask for your guidance and protection so that we may not be the cause of someone else’s downfall. Help us to be mindful of our actions and words, and to always act in a way that brings glory to your name. We pray for those who have been hurt by the actions of others, that they may find healing and peace. May we be a source of love and encouragement to those around us, and may we always seek to build others up rather than tear them down. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
Verse: “Woe to the world because of occasions of stumbling! For it must be that the occasions come, but woe to that person through whom the occasion comes!
Matthew 18:7
This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader to not be the cause of stumbling for others.
