Praying from 1 John 1:8 relating to Sin, Deception, Truth.
Dear God, I come before you humbly and acknowledge that I am a sinner. I confess that I have made mistakes and fallen short of your glory. Please forgive me for my sins and help me to turn away from them. I pray that you would guide me in the path of righteousness and fill me with your truth. May I never deceive myself into thinking that I am without sin, but always seek your forgiveness and grace. Thank you for your love and mercy. Amen.
Verse: If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1 John 1:8
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to acknowledge their sinfulness and not deceive themselves.
