Praying from 1 Corinthians 14:2. Themes: Prayer, Spiritual Gifts, Mystery.
Dear Lord, I thank you for the promise that when I speak in another language, I am speaking not to men, but to you. I claim this promise today and ask that you fill me with your Spirit so that I may speak mysteries that only you can understand. Help me to use this gift to glorify you and to build up your kingdom. May my words be a source of encouragement and edification to those around me. Thank you for the gift of speaking in tongues, and for the assurance that when I do, I am speaking directly to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God, for no one understands, but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries.
1 Corinthians 14:2
This is a Promise. The promise is that when someone speaks in another language, they are speaking to God and the Spirit is revealing mysteries through them.
