Praying from 1 Timothy 1:9 relating to Law, Righteousness, Sin
Dear Lord, I come before you today with the knowledge that your law is not made for the righteous, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers. I pray that you would help me to understand and follow your law, and to live a life that is pleasing to you. Give me the strength and wisdom to resist temptation and to turn away from sin. Help me to be a light in this dark world, and to show your love and grace to those who need it most. Thank you for your mercy and forgiveness, and for the gift of salvation through your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Verse: as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous person, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1 Timothy 1:9
This is a Command. The verse is instructing the reader that the law is not meant for those who are righteous, but for those who are lawless and disobedient. It is a reminder to stay on the path of righteousness and avoid sinful behavior.
