Prayer based on Proverbs 22:14. Themes: Sin, Consequences, Wrath

Dear Lord, please protect me from the temptations of the world and the seductive words of the adulteress. Help me to recognize the danger of falling into her deep pit and to resist her advances. Keep me under your loving care and shield me from your wrath. May I always walk in your ways and honor you with my thoughts, words, and actions. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: The mouth of an adulteress is a deep pit. He who is under Yahweh’s wrath will fall into it.
Proverbs 22:14

This is a Command. The verse warns the reader to avoid the temptation of an adulteress, as it will lead to their downfall if they are under Yahweh’s wrath.
