Dear Lord,
As I read the verse “For a prostitute is a deep pit; and a wayward wife is a narrow well,” I am reminded of the dangers of straying from Your path. I pray that You would protect me from the temptations of this world and keep me on the straight and narrow. Help me to resist the lure of sin and to stay faithful to You. May I never fall into the deep pit of prostitution or the narrow well of a wayward wife. Instead, may I always walk in Your ways and follow Your commands. Thank You for Your love and protection. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader to avoid prostitutes and wayward wives as they can lead to destruction.
