Prayer based on Psalms 119:70. Themes: Sinfulness, Delight in God’s Law.
Dear Lord, I come before you today with a heart full of gratitude and thanksgiving. I thank you for your unfailing love and for the promise that you have given us in your word. I claim the promise that my heart will not be callous like the fat, but that I will delight in your law. I pray that you will continue to guide me and lead me in the path of righteousness. Help me to always seek your will and to follow your commands. May your word be a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I pray that you will continue to transform my heart and make me more like you. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the promise of eternal life through your son, Jesus Christ. In his name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: Their heart is as callous as the fat, but I delight in your law.
Psalms 119:70
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that while some may have a hardened heart, the speaker (presumably God) takes pleasure in the reader’s adherence to His law.
