Dear God, I come before you today claiming the promise that it is not of my own will or strength that I can achieve anything, but it is only by your mercy and grace that I can succeed. I surrender my plans and desires to you, trusting that you will guide me in the right direction and bless me with your favor. Thank you for your unfailing love and for always being there for me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: So then it is not of him who wills, nor of him who runs, but of God who has mercy.
Romans 9:16

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that salvation and mercy come from God, not from one’s own efforts or willpower.
