Praying from Romans 9:11. Themes: Election, Purpose of God, Grace.
Dear God, I thank you that even before I was born and before I had the chance to do anything good or bad, your purpose for my life was already set through your election. I claim the promise that this purpose is not based on my works, but on your calling. Help me to trust in your plan for my life and to follow your calling with faith and obedience. May your will be done in my life, and may I bring glory to your name. Amen.
Verse: For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls,
Romans 9:11
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that God’s purpose and election are not based on works, but on His calling. It is a promise that God’s plan will be fulfilled regardless of our actions.
