Praying from Romans 4:6. Themes: Righteousness, Faith, Grace
Dear God, I thank you for the promise that you count righteousness apart from works. Just as David pronounced a blessing on the man who received this gift, I claim this promise for myself. I pray that you would count me as righteous, not because of anything I have done, but because of your grace and mercy. Help me to trust in your righteousness and not my own works. May I live a life that reflects your righteousness and bring glory to your name. Amen.
Verse: Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works:
Romans 4:6
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that David blesses the man who is counted righteous by God apart from works. It is not giving a command to the reader.
