Praying from Romans 4:17. Themes: Faith, Promise, Resurrection
Dear God, as it is written, you have made me a father/mother of many nations. I claim this promise in your presence, knowing that you are the one who gives life to the dead and calls the things that are not, as though they were. I trust in your power and your faithfulness to fulfill this promise in my life. Help me to walk in faith and obedience, knowing that you are with me every step of the way. Thank you for your love and your grace. Amen.
Verse: As it is written, “I have made you a father of many nations.” This is in the presence of him whom he believed: God, who gives life to the dead, and calls the things that are not, as though they were.
Romans 4:17
This is a Promise. The verse is a reference to God’s promise to Abraham that he would become the father of many nations, and highlights God’s power to bring life to the dead and create something out of nothing.
