Praying from Romans 2:29. Themes: Salvation, Circumcision, Faith
Dear God, help me to understand that being a true Jew is not about outward appearances or following strict rules, but about having a pure heart and a spirit that is aligned with you. May my circumcision be of the heart, and may I seek your praise above the approval of others. Thank you for loving me and accepting me as I am. Amen.
Verse: but he is a Jew who is one inwardly, and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men, but from God.
Romans 2:29
This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to focus on inner righteousness rather than outward appearances and to seek praise from God rather than from men.
