Praying from Romans 14:9. Themes: Redemption, Lordship, Resurrection.
Dear Lord Jesus, I thank you for dying on the cross, rising from the dead, and living again. I claim the promise that you are the Lord of both the dead and the living. I trust in your power and authority over all things, and I surrender my life to you. Help me to live each day in the knowledge of your love and grace, and to share your message of hope with those around me. Thank you for your sacrifice and for the promise of eternal life in you. Amen.
Verse: For to this end Christ died, rose, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living.
Romans 14:9
This is a Promise. The verse is stating that Christ died, rose, and lived again in order to be the Lord of both the dead and the living. It is not giving a command to the reader.
