Prayer based on Psalms 8:4. Themes: Humanity, God’s care, Humility

Dear Lord, I come before you humbly and ask for your mercy and grace. As I reflect on the words of the psalmist, I am reminded of my own insignificance in the grand scheme of things. Yet, you have promised to care for me and think of me, even though I am but a mere mortal. I claim this promise today and ask that you continue to watch over me and guide me in all that I do. Help me to remember that I am never alone and that you are always with me, even in the darkest of times. Thank you for your love and faithfulness, and may I always trust in your goodness and mercy. Amen.

Verse: what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?
Psalms 8:4

This is a Promise. The verse is a statement of wonder and amazement at God’s care for humanity, rather than a command or instruction.
