Prayer based on Psalms 69:4. Themes: Persecution, Restoration, Betrayal.
Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise in Psalm 69:4. I know that there are those who hate me without a cause, and they are more than the hairs on my head. But I also know that you are with me, and you will never leave me nor forsake me. You have promised to restore what I didn’t take away, and I claim that promise today. I pray that you will give me the strength and courage to face my enemies, and that you will protect me from their attacks. Help me to forgive those who have wronged me, and to love them as you love me. Thank you for your faithfulness and your love, and for the promise that you will always be with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn’t take away.
Psalms 69:4
This is a Promise. The verse is a statement of the psalmist’s experience of being hated and persecuted without cause, but also a declaration of his trust in God to restore what has been taken from him.
