Dear Lord, I come to you today with a heavy heart, feeling trapped in the mire of my circumstances. I ask that you deliver me from this place of despair and hopelessness. Please don’t let me sink any further into this pit of darkness.

I claim the promise in your word that you will deliver me from those who hate me and from the deep waters that threaten to overwhelm me. I trust in your unfailing love and your power to rescue me from any situation.

Thank you for being my rock and my refuge in times of trouble. I put my faith in you and know that you will guide me to safety. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
