Prayer based on Psalms 68:10. Themes: Provision, Community, Justice

Dear God, I come before you today claiming the promise that your congregation lived therein. I pray that I may be a part of your congregation and experience the blessings that come with it. I also claim the promise that you have prepared your goodness for the poor. Lord, I am in need of your goodness and I pray that you will pour out your blessings upon me. Help me to trust in your provision and to have faith that you will always provide for my needs. Thank you for your love and grace, and for the promise of your goodness. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Your congregation lived therein. You, God, prepared your goodness for the poor.
Psalms 68:10

This is a Promise.

The verse is stating that God has prepared his goodness for the poor and that the congregation has lived in that goodness. It is not giving a command to the reader.
