Dear God, I come to you today claiming the promise that you have shown yourself in her citadels as a refuge. I thank you for being my refuge and my strength in times of trouble. I pray that you will continue to reveal yourself to me in new and powerful ways, and that I will always find safety and security in your presence. Help me to trust in you completely, knowing that you are always with me and that you will never leave me or forsake me. Thank you for your love and your faithfulness, and for the promise that you will always be my refuge. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Psalms 48:3

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that God has revealed himself as a place of safety and protection in the citadels (fortified cities) of the land.
