Prayer based on Psalms 42:9. Themes: Lament, Trust in God, Oppression
Dear God, my rock and my refuge, I come to you today with a heavy heart. I feel forgotten and oppressed by the enemy. But I know that you have promised to never leave me nor forsake me. So, I claim that promise today and ask for your strength and comfort. Help me to trust in your unfailing love and to find peace in your presence. Thank you for being my rock and my salvation. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
Verse: I will ask God, my rock, “Why have you forgotten me?Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?”
Psalms 42:9
This is a Promise. The verse is a statement of the psalmist’s trust in God as his rock, even in the midst of feeling forgotten and oppressed by enemies.
