Praying from Psalms 31:17. Themes: Faith, Justice, Judgment
Dear Yahweh, I come before you today with a humble heart and ask that you hear my prayer. Please do not let me be disappointed, for I have called on you with all my heart. I trust in your unfailing love and mercy, and I know that you will never forsake me. I pray that you will bring confusion and disappointment to the wicked, and that they will be silenced in Sheol. May your justice prevail, and may your name be glorified forever. Amen.
Verse: Let me not be disappointed, Yahweh, for I have called on you.Let the wicked be disappointed.Let them be silent in Sheol.
Psalms 31:17
This is a Command. The verse is a plea for God to not disappoint the speaker and a command for the wicked to be disappointed and silent in Sheol (the afterlife).
