Praying from Psalms 22:2. Themes: Despair, Prayer, Silence

Dear God, I come to you in prayer, crying out to you in the daytime and in the night season. I know that you hear my cries and that you will answer me according to your perfect will. I claim the promise that you will never leave me nor forsake me, and that you will always be with me, even in the darkest of times. Thank you for your faithfulness and for the assurance that you are always listening to my prayers. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.
Psalms 22:2

This is a Promise. The verse expresses the psalmist’s lament that God seems distant and unresponsive, but it does not contain a command or instruction for the reader.
