Praying from Psalms 141:5. Themes: Repentance, Humility, Prayer

Dear Lord, I pray that you would allow the righteous to strike me when I am in the wrong, for it is an act of kindness that will help me grow and learn. Let them reprove me, for it is like oil on my head, soothing and healing. Please don’t let my head refuse it, but instead, let me accept it with humility and gratitude. And even as I receive correction, let my prayer always be against evil deeds, that I may walk in your ways and live a life that honors you. Amen.

Verse: Let the righteous strike me, it is kindness; let him reprove me, it is like oil on the head; don’t let my head refuse it; Yet my prayer is always against evil deeds.
Psalms 141:5

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to accept reproof and correction from the righteous, even if it is painful, and to continue to pray against evil deeds.
