Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that “many times they have afflicted me from my youth up, yet they have not prevailed against me.” I thank you for your faithfulness and protection over my life. Despite the trials and challenges I have faced, you have always been with me, guiding me and strengthening me. I pray that you continue to be my shield and defender, and that I may always trust in your unfailing love. May your grace and mercy be upon me, and may I always find refuge in you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

This is a Promise. The verse is stating that despite being afflicted many times since youth, the speaker has not been overcome or defeated.
