Prayer based on Psalms 127:2. Themes: Rest, Trust, Provision.
Dear Lord, I come before you today claiming the promise that you give sleep to your loved ones. I confess that I have often tried to rely on my own strength and work tirelessly, rising up early and staying up late, eating the bread of toil. But I know that this is in vain without your help. So today, I surrender my efforts to you and ask that you grant me the gift of restful sleep. Help me to trust in your provision and to find peace in your loving care. Thank you for your promise to give sleep to your loved ones. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: It is vain for you to rise up early, to stay up late, eating the bread of toil, for he gives sleep to his loved ones.
Psalms 127:2
This is a Promise.
Summary: God promises to give sleep to his loved ones, so it is pointless to overwork oneself and sacrifice rest.
