Prayer based on Psalms 123:2. Themes: Trust, Mercy, Dependence.

Dear Yahweh, our God, we come before you with humble hearts, acknowledging that we are your servants and you are our master. Just as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master and the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, we fix our eyes on you, knowing that you are the source of all mercy and grace.

We claim the promise that you will have mercy on us, and we trust in your unfailing love and faithfulness. We ask that you would pour out your mercy on us today, and that you would guide us in all that we do. Help us to walk in your ways and to follow your commands, so that we may bring glory to your name.

Thank you for your faithfulness and your love, and for the promise that you will always be with us. We trust in you, and we look to you for all that we need. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

Verse: Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to Yahweh, our God, until he has mercy on us.
Psalms 123:2

This is a Promise. The verse promises that if we look to Yahweh, our God, with the same devotion and obedience as servants to their masters, he will have mercy on us.
