Prayer based on Proverbs 8:29. Themes: Creation, Sovereignty, Obedience.
Dear God,
As I reflect on the verse that speaks of how you gave the sea its boundary and marked out the foundations of the earth, I am reminded of your power and sovereignty over all things.
I pray that you would continue to guide and direct my life, just as you have guided the waters of the sea and established the foundations of the earth. Help me to trust in your commandments and to follow your will for my life.
Thank you for your faithfulness and for the ways in which you have shown your love and care for me. May I always remember that you are in control and that I can trust in your plans for my life.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: when he gave to the sea its boundary, that the waters should not violate his commandment, when he marked out the foundations of the earth,
Proverbs 8:29
This is a Commandment. The verse is stating that God gave a commandment to the sea to stay within its boundaries, and it obeyed.
