Prayer based on Proverbs 4:16. Themes: Evil, Sleeplessness, Temptation

Dear God, please protect us from those who seek to do evil. May their hearts be softened and their intentions be pure. Help them to find peace and rest without causing harm to others. May their sleep be undisturbed by thoughts of malice and may they instead find joy in doing good. Guide us all towards a path of righteousness and may we always strive to lift each other up rather than tear each other down. Amen.

Verse: For they don’t sleep unless they do evil. Their sleep is taken away, unless they make someone fall.
Proverbs 4:16

This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader about the behavior of wicked people who do not rest until they have caused harm to others. The command is to be aware of their actions and avoid falling victim to their schemes.
