Prayer based on Proverbs 3:12. Themes: Love, Correction, Fatherhood
Dear Yahweh, I thank you for your love and your promise to correct me as a father reproves his son. I pray that you would continue to guide me and correct me when I stray from your path. Help me to receive your correction with humility and to learn from it, so that I may grow in wisdom and righteousness. Thank you for delighting in me and for always being there to guide me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Verse: for whom Yahweh loves, he corrects, even as a father reproves the son in whom he delights.
Proverbs 3:12
This is a Promise. The verse states that Yahweh corrects those whom he loves, just as a father reproves a son he delights in. This is a promise that God will discipline and correct those he loves, in order to guide them towards righteousness.
