Prayer based on Proverbs 22:15. Themes: Discipline, Folly, Heart

Dear Lord, we come before you acknowledging that folly is bound up in the heart of a child. We pray that you would help us to discipline our children with love and wisdom, so that they may learn to walk in your ways. May the rod of discipline drive away any foolishness from their hearts and minds, and may they grow to be wise and discerning adults who honor you in all they do. We ask for your guidance and strength as we seek to raise our children in a way that pleases you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: Folly is bound up in the heart of a child; the rod of discipline drives it far from him.
Proverbs 22:15

This is a Command. The verse instructs parents to discipline their children with a rod in order to drive out foolishness from their hearts.
