Dear Lord, please help me to control my temper and not let it lead me into trouble. Help me to be patient and understanding with others, even when they frustrate me. I pray that you would give me the wisdom to know when to step in and help someone who is struggling with their own anger, but also the discernment to know when it is not my place to intervene. May I always seek to bring peace and love into every situation, and not be a burden to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Verse: A hot-tempered man must pay the penalty, for if you rescue him, you must do it again.
Proverbs 19:19

This is a Command. The verse is warning the reader not to rescue a hot-tempered man because they will continue to cause trouble and require rescuing again.
