Prayer based on Proverbs 15:8. Themes: Sacrifice, Wickedness, Prayer

Dear Yahweh, I come before you today with a humble heart and a desire to please you. I know that the sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to you, and I do not want to be counted among them. Instead, I pray that my prayers and my actions would be pleasing to you. May my heart be upright and my motives pure as I seek to honor you in all that I do. Thank you for delighting in the prayers of the upright. I pray that my prayers would bring joy to your heart and that you would hear and answer them according to your will. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

Verse: The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to Yahweh, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
Proverbs 15:8

This is a Command. The verse commands the reader to avoid making sacrifices if they are wicked, and instead to pray as the upright do, which is pleasing to Yahweh.
