Dear Lord, I come before you seeking wisdom and understanding. I know that as a scoffer, I may not have found it in the past, but I claim the promise that knowledge comes easily to a discerning person. Help me to be discerning and open to your teachings, so that I may gain the knowledge and wisdom that I seek. Thank you for your grace and mercy, and for the promise of your guidance. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
